Adam Canfield, Owner of Care At Home Preferred, is a  graduate of Burrell High School, Citizens School of Nursing and Penn State New Ken, BSN.  Adam started his nursing career in ICU at Allegheny Valley Hospital learning essential nursing practices: focused assessment, lab analysis, reporting to physician, critical thinking skills. He became a charge nurse in the ICU at the age of 22 and developed his leadership skills.

Adam was recruited to Care At Home Preferred to be a visiting nurse (which better suited a family man’s schedule).  After minimal experience with Home Health he was forced to take the reins of CAHP after the DON’s abrupt departure.  He managed and grew CAHP before buying out the company in 2018.

Since assuming ownership in 2018, CAHP has focused on improving quality of care with the goal of keeping our beloved patients where they prefer – at home. CAHP has also focused on employing clinicians that share similar values and expanding CAHP’s territory to grant access to their optimal care to more of the public.
